Job summary

Novotel Amsterdam City is seeking a Duty Manager to oversee guest experience during morning (07:00-15:00) or evening (15:00-23:00) shifts. You will move between guest contact, operations oversight, and problem-solving to keep the hotel running smoothly.

The role emphasizes responding to reviews, addressing complaints, and engaging with department heads to improve processes, while ensuring ALL members feel at home. Strong English skills required; Dutch preferred.

Qualifications

• We are seeking a service-oriented Duty Manager able to respond effectively to day-to-day surprises and work independently.
• You are proactive, a team player, discrete and stress-resistant.
• You are flexible to work morning and evening shifts, including weekends.
• You have a problem-solving mindset and good organizational skills.
• You have strong verbal English communication (Dutch preferred).

Responsibilities

• Analyze guest reviews and ensure a response to each.
• Address every complaint or issue as an opportunity to improve service.
• Ensure ALL members feel at home in the hotel.
• Collaborate with department heads to improve processes.
• Conduct safety rounds and take charge during crises.
