Job summary

Wärtsilä is seeking an In-Situ Service Coordinator Central Europe to plan, coordinate, and lead on-site service activities for complex components in the maritime sector. You will act as the main liaison between customers, engineers, workshops and suppliers, ensuring safe and efficient project execution from request to closure.

The role focuses on coordinating resources, scheduling, documentation, logistics, and delivery of parts across regions including Central Europe.

Qualifications

• Experience in service coordination or project coordination is advantageous.
• Strong organisational and coordination skills with attention to detail.
• Good English language skills, written and spoken.
• Knowledge of ERP/CRM or service management systems.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into practical service plans.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate international in-situ service assignments from customer request through execution and project closure.
• Plan and allocate field service engineers, specialists and subcontractors according to project requirements and resource availability.
• Act as a primary point of contact for customers, ship owners, shipyards, agents and internal stakeholders.
• Support the preparation of service projects, including scheduling, documentation and logistics arrangements.
• Coordinate the availability and delivery of spare parts, tools, measuring equipment and materials for global service activities.
• Monitor project progress and ensure effective communication between customers, field service teams, workshops and administration.
• Create purchase orders and follow up on deliveries to ensure timely project execution.
• Support project performance monitoring, including KPIs such as utilisation, work in progress, lead times and customer satisfaction.
• Assist in identifying risks, resolving operational issues and ensuring smooth project execution.
• Ensure compliance with Wärtsilä safety requirements, quality standards and applicable ISO processes.
