Job summary

Wärtsilä Corporation seeks an In-Situ Service Coordinator Central Europe to join our Service Unit Central Europe. The role focuses on coordinating on-site service activities for maritime components, ensuring safe and on-time project execution across regions including Central Europe.

You will plan field service engineers, coordinate parts and logistics, and act as the main contact between customers, ship owners, shipyards and internal teams. Strong English and organisational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Vocational qualification or technical degree in a related in-situ/industrial environment.
• Experience in service coordination or project coordination is advantageous.
• Good understanding of maintenance, repair or field service activities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate international in-situ service assignments from customer request through execution and project closure.
• Plan and allocate field service engineers, specialists and subcontractors according to project requirements and resource availability.
• Act as a primary point of contact for customers, ship owners, shipyards, agents and internal stakeholders.
• Support the preparation of service projects, including scheduling, documentation and logistics arrangements.
• Coordinate the availability and delivery of spare parts, tools, measuring equipment and materials for global service activities.
• Monitor project progress and ensure effective communication between customers, field service teams, workshops and administration.
• Create purchase orders and follow up on deliveries to ensure timely project execution.
• Support project performance monitoring, including KPIs such as utilisation, work in progress, lead times and customer satisfaction.
• Assist in identifying risks, resolving operational issues and ensuring smooth project execution.
• Ensure compliance with Wärtsilä safety requirements, quality standards and applicable ISO processes.
