Job summary

C.H. Robinson is seeking an Ocean Import Coordinator in Rotterdam to manage end-to-end ocean import shipments, ensuring compliance and exceptional customer service.

You will coordinate bookings, tracking, customs documentation, and invoicing while collaborating with carriers, overseas offices, and internal stakeholders on a five‑days‑a‑week on-site basis. In this role you’ll build strong customer relationships, provide status updates and reports, and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of ocean import, freight forwarding, or international logistics experience.
• Strong knowledge of ocean import documentation and international shipping processes.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage ocean import shipments from origin through final delivery while ensuring compliance with customer SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate bookings, shipment tracking, customs documentation, arrival notices, delivery arrangements, and invoicing activities.
• Monitor shipment milestones and proactively resolve transportation, documentation, and service issues.
• Collaborate with carriers, overseas offices, agents, customs brokers, and internal teams to ensure operational excellence.
• Build strong customer relationships through timely communication, issue resolution, and service support.
• Provide shipment status updates, operational reporting, and documentation support to customers and stakeholders.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to service, quality, and efficiency initiatives.
• Participate in customer reviews and support business growth through exceptional service delivery.
