Job summary

DSV in Rotterdam is seeking a Senior Freight Forwarder Import to manage end-to-end import activities for a client portfolio, from onboarding to bookings and financial close. You will coordinate ocean shipments (LCL/FCL), ensure documentation, and collaborate with the Customs team.

You will coach colleagues, use Cargowise, and contribute to a high-service mindset. Dutch (B1) and English are required; 4+ years in ocean freight import/export; salary depends on knowledge and experience, with a bonus

Qualifications

• minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role, ocean freight forwarding import or export
• good command of Dutch (B1) and English, both written and spoken
• experience with Cargowise is a plus

Responsibilities

• Convert customer requests into bookings and coordinate import sea freight shipments
• Check transport documentation to ensure compliance with Incoterms and customer agreements
• Instruct Customs team to prepare T1 transit documents and customs clearance declarations
• Monitor shipments for deviations, update customers and handle transport-related claims
• Onboard, coach and support (new) colleagues
• Use Cargowise in daily work
