Job summary

DSV Rotterdam is seeking a Senior Freight Forwarder Import to manage the full lifecycle of ocean freight imports from onboarding clients to final billing. You will coordinate bookings, ensure compliance with Incoterms, and work with the Customs team on transit documents and declarations.

Your role includes mentoring peers and using Cargowise daily in a dynamic, international environment. You bring at least 4 years of hands-on import/ocean freight experience, strong Dutch and English

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role, ocean freight forwarding import or export.
• Good command of Dutch (B1) and English, both written and spoken.
• Experience with Cargowise is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Convert customer requests into bookings and coordinate import sea freight shipments.
• Handle financial settlement of shipment files and ensure documentation aligns with Incoterms.
• Instruct Customs team to prepare transit documents and customs clearance declarations.
• Monitor shipments for deviations and proactively update customers; handle transport-related claims.
• Onboard, coach, and support (new) colleagues; contribute to team development.
• Use Cargowise in daily workflow.
