Job summary

i3D.net in Rotterdam is seeking a Network Engineering Manager to lead and grow a global team responsible for building, scaling, and operating one of the world’s most interconnected gaming and infrastructure networks.

You’ll guide engineers across backbone, datacenter, automation, monitoring, and customer‑facing projects, setting priorities, ownership, and technical direction while remaining close to the technology to understand risks, trade‑offs, and escalations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in networking, IT, CS, or related field.
Significant network engineering experience with leadership responsibilities.
Fluent English, able to communicate with global teams.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a team of network engineers across backbone, datacenter, automation, monitoring, and customer‑facing projects.
Mentor engineers and drive knowledge sharing and clear development plans.
Prioritize and deliver network upgrades, datacenter expansions, and automation improvements.
Oversee day‑to‑day network operations and incident management.
Translate technical strategy into executable work with architects and senior engineers.
Utilize Kentik and Grafana for monitoring and capacity planning.
Promote automation and reliable operational practices.
Maintain thorough network documentation and diagrams.
Ensure security practices including DDoS mitigation and traffic filtering.
