Job summary

APM Terminals in The Hague is seeking an Investment Manager to join the Investment team. You will drive growth opportunities, manage large concession extensions, and support portfolio strategy across global terminals, reporting to the Head of Investments.

The role requires strong commercial judgment, international collaboration, and the ability to engage with senior executives, government authorities, and strategic partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in strategy, M&A, corporate development, or business development roles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate commercial, operational, and legal complexities.
• Experience with Public Private Partnerships (PPP), concession agreements, and infrastructure investment environments.
• Knowledge of investment case development, deal structuring, due diligence, valuation, and financial modelling.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation, stakeholder management, and communication skills in an international environment.
• Fluent in English and willing to travel internationally as required.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and develop investment opportunities, business cases, and strategic growth projects.
• Assess investment feasibility and commercial attractiveness, providing recommendations to senior management.
• Lead or support complex infrastructure, concession, M&A, and corporate development projects from concept through execution.
• Coordinate cross-functional project planning across commercial, engineering, operations, legal, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare investment proposals, valuation perspectives, negotiation positions, and stakeholder presentation materials.
• Build and maintain relationships with government officials, investors, partners, customers, and other external stakeholders.
• Develop market strategies, manage opportunity pipelines, and provide industry and competitive analysis to support growth objectives.
