Job summary

JBT Marel is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, commission and service advanced machinery at customer sites worldwide. You will diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, focusing on electrical systems, PLCs and process control while interacting with international teams.

The role offers extensive international travel (50–60%), onboarding and a development track within a global organization. A degree in a technical field and strong English skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with or interest in industrial automation, PLCs, electrical systems, software or process control.
• Analytical, problem-solving mindset and hands-on approach.
• Strong communication skills and customer focus.
• Good command of English.
• Willingness to travel internationally and work in international teams.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission machines, control systems and software at customer sites.
• Analyse and resolve technical issues and production challenges.
• Work with PLCs, electrical systems, software and process control solutions.
• Carry out service visits and provide remote technical support.
• Train customers and collaborate with local and international teams.
• Keep stakeholders informed about project progress and service activities.
• Travel internationally ~50–60%.
