Job summary

PMJ (Part of JBT Marel) in Opmeer is seeking a Field Service Engineer to own the electrical scope from design to on-site commissioning. You translate customer needs into robust electrical solutions and drive successful project execution.

You’ll design control systems, perform verification tests, and support customers remotely as well as on site. International travel may be required to install and service equipment worldwide.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or related field.
• Experience with electrical control systems, PLCs, electrical panels, and cabling projects.
• Familiarity with SEE Electrical or EPLAN is a plus.
• Ability to read and create electrical schematics and documentation.
• Experience with commissioning, troubleshooting, and service support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the electrical design specification and implementation for projects.
• Collaborate with colleagues to define electrical control system requirements and cabling.
• Design electrical control systems and perform verification tests.
• Perform required design calculations and manufacture electrical panels.
• Maintain and version control documentation and item lists.
• Provide remote technical support to customers.
