Job summary

Alfen is seeking a Site/Works Manager ESS to serve as the on-site technical and operational lead for international large-scale energy storage projects. You will ensure safe, efficient delivery on site, cooperate with subcontractors, customers and internal teams, and drive daily progress according to plan.

The role requires a completed engineering or project management bachelor’s degree, 5+ years in energy storage or related fields, and fluency in Dutch and English.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in energy storage, technical installations or project execution.
• Experience in international project environments preferred.
• Excellent command of Dutch and English (additional languages are a plus).
• Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis.
• Structured, results-driven and communicatively strong working style.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating activities on international ESS project locations.
• Monitoring progress, quality, safety and technical execution.
• Managing and evaluating subcontractors, including work agreements and progress reporting.
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and technical specifications.
• Supporting customers on site and contributing to successful installation, testing and commissioning.
• Identifying bottlenecks and contributing to process improvements.
• Ensuring smooth, safe and timely execution of complex energy storage projects.
