Job summary

NTS Group Eindhoven is seeking a Category Manager - Mechanics to define and execute category strategies for mechanical parts and assemblies across the global supply base. You will collaborate with site procurement, engineering, quality, manufacturing, and project teams to ensure cost competitiveness and supply continuity.

Reporting to the Global Sourcing Director, you will lead supplier relationships in a fast-paced, high-tech environment, driving long-term agreements and cost optimization

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of strategic procurement experience in mechatronics or related field.
• Experience setting up and executing supplier category strategies.
• Strong background in supplier development, cost optimization, and risk management.
• Hands-on experience in contract negotiation, TCO analysis, and cost modeling.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and BOMs, and translate constraints into sourcing requirements.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute long-term category strategies for mechanical parts and assemblies.
• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, including contract negotiations and long-term supplier agreements.
• Manage strategic supplier accounts and build relationships with key suppliers.
• Drive supplier development programs focused on quality, capacity, cost optimization, and risk mitigation.
• Conduct market intelligence and cost analysis, including TCO and should-cost modelling.
• Lead cross-functional sourcing projects from initiation through planning and execution.
• Track category performance, KPIs, and generate reports to higher management.
