Job summary

Vanderlande is seeking a Global Category Manager to develop and execute category strategies for an assigned spend portfolio on a global scale. You will work with stakeholders to translate requirements into sourcing strategies, create RfX documents, evaluate supplier proposals, and lead commercial negotiations to optimize cost, quality and innovation.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• 3+ years experience in procurement or supply chain management.
• Knowledge of category management processes and sourcing methodologies.
• Experience with sourcing events and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned global categories and translate business requirements into sourcing strategies.
• Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing initiatives, including RfX documents and supplier evaluations.
• Negotiate and manage supplier communications, conduct auctions, and drive supplier performance.
• Define category strategies and ensure implementation across regions and projects.
• Serve as Supplier Relationship Manager for strategic suppliers to drive continuous improvement.
• Review Purchase Requisitions and support item master data updates with MDM support.
