Job summary

NTS Eindhoven is hiring a Procurement Manager to lead the Mechatronics Assembly procurement function. You will report to the Managing Director and direct a team of ten strategic/tactical buyers and project buyers, shaping supplier strategies and performance for high‑tech, precision assembly on OEM projects.

You will drive procurement policy, manage supplier development, and optimize KPIs like OTIF, cost, and lead time while coordinating with Global Director Procurement and MT colleagues.

Qualifications

• Completed HBO or WO education, preferably in Technical Business Administration, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a technical field.
• At least 5 years of experience in procurement within a technical production environment.
• Demonstrable experience as a leader of procurement teams.
• Experience with supplier acquisition, performance management, and improving procurement processes.
• Broad knowledge of strategic procurement, contract management, and supplier development, possibly with NEVI certification.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and strong analytical skills.
• Excellent command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Develop the procurement strategy and policy for Mechatronics Assembly and translate this into annual plans, clear processes, and concrete objectives.
• Lead the strategic/tactical buyers and project buyers and invest in their development.
• Manage the local supplier base, from acquisition and selection to contracting and supplier development.
• Manage supplier performance and procurement KPIs such as delivery reliability, quality, lead time, and cost price, and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure strong connection of procurement to NPI projects from initial supplier selection to handover to series production.
• Coordinate with Global Director Procurement and Category Managers to align local and group strategies.
• As a MT member, contribute to Mechatronics Assembly direction, monitor budget, and propose staffing/trainings.
