Job summary

Albert Heijn is seeking a Frontend Engineer to shape the technology behind one of the Netherlands’ most trusted brands. You’ll build and run frontend applications that support store operations across 1,200+ Albert Heijn stores, focusing on performance, reliability, and scalable delivery.

You will design and build web/mobile frontend apps using React/NextJS in a monorepo, taking ownership end-to-end from design to production.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with React, NextJS, TypeScript, REST APIs and CI/CD.
• Experience designing, building, and operating frontend systems at scale.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to work across product, UX, and ops teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate web/frontend applications using modern engineering practices.
• Collaborate with product, UX, store operations, and other teams to make pragmatic technical decisions.
• Own applications end-to-end from design and implementation to production support and continuous improvement.
