Job summary

Michael Page in Amsterdam is seeking a Financial Accountant to own day-to-day financial operations and ensure timely, accurate reporting.

You will process supplier invoices, manage payables/receivables, process payments, and reconcile accounts while working with internal teams and external partners.

The ideal candidate holds an HBO degree in Finance/Accounting or related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience, and is fluent in English, with Dutch a plus.

Qualifications

• HBO degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant finance experience.
• Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Experience working with ERP systems; Exact Online is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and manage accounts payable/receivable administration.

As Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of the business.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Processing supplier invoices
• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable administration
• Processing incoming and outgoing payments
• Reconciling bank and account statements
• Monitoring outstanding balances and debtor ageing reports
• Supporting collections and escalation processes when required
• Matching incoming payments and resolving discrepancies
• Maintaining accurate financial records and data integrity
• Working closely with internal stakeholders and external financial partners
• Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and controls

You will play a key role in ensuring a timely, accurate and efficient finance function while supporting the continued growth of the organisation.

The successful candidate has a completed HBO degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field and brings at least 2 years of relevant finance experience.

• Strong Excel skills
• Experience working with ERP systems (Exact Online is advantageous)
