Job summary

EMEA Recruitment is recruiting a Finance Manager for a rapidly growing international software organization based in Amsterdam. You will help establish the Netherlands finance function for Benelux and the Nordics, partnering with international leadership to drive reporting, budgeting and process improvements.

This hybrid Amsterdam-based role requires strong Dutch GAAP knowledge, multinational experience and the ability to integrate acquisitions into finance operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
• RA, ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent accounting qualification
• 5+ years' experience in financial management or similar
• Strong exposure to finance in Benelux & The Nordics
• Fluent English, Dutch and a Nordic language

Responsibilities

• Lead the finance function initially across Benelux, with scope expanding to the Nordic region as the organisation grows
• Lead the month-end close process for a portfolio of operating companies, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with Dutch GAAP
• Support the integration of newly acquired businesses, including onboarding companies onto NetSuite, preparing completion accounts and aligning finance processes
• Review balance sheet reconciliations, revenue recognition and key financial controls, and track earn-outs, deferred consideration and related payment dates
• Partner with operational and finance stakeholders to prepare budgets, forecasts and management reporting, analysing financial performance and KPIs to support commercial decision-making
• Provide financial challenge and support to CEOs and operating leaders across the portfolio
• Develop and improve finance processes and Standard Operating Procedures to increase efficiency and consistency, and ensure audit readiness across internal and external requirements
• Work closely with international finance teams on finance transformation initiatives, mentoring finance team members where required to maintain a high-performing function

EMEA Recruitment is working with a rapidly growing international software organization in its search for a Finance Manager to join its expanding finance team in Amsterdam.

As the business continues to grow through acquisition across Europe, this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in establishing and developing the finance function in the Netherlands, for Benelux and The Nordics.

Working closely with international finance leadership, you will oversee financial reporting, business partnering, budgeting and process improvement, while supporting the integration of newly acquired businesses into the wider group.

Experience required:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
• RA, ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent accounting qualification
• 5+ years' experience within Financial Management, Accounting or a similar commercial finance role
• Strong exposure to finance in Benelux & The Nordics
• Fluent English + Dutch + a Nordic language
• Strong knowledge of Dutch GAAP and statutory reporting requirements
• Experience preparing budgets, forecasts and management reporting
• Previous experience working within an international or multi-entity organization would be advantageous
• Experience supporting acquisitions or post-merger integrations would be beneficial
• NetSuite experience is advantageous but not essential
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
• Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across international teams
• Proactive, organized and comfortable managing multiple priorities within a growing business
