Job summary

RMS Marine Service BV is seeking a Finance Manager in Rotterdam to lead the NL Finance team. The role involves overseeing daily financial operations, preparing financial statements, and budgeting. A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management is required, preferably in the marine or supply chain industry. Excellent understanding of Dutch accounting principles and strong communication skills in Dutch and English are essential. For the location in Rotterdam, we are looking for an Finance Manager who will lead the NL Finance team.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Financial Reporting & Analysis:Lead and manage day-to-day finance operations like preparing accurate, timely financial statements, balance sheets, and profit-and-loss reports to track performance. Deep understanding of financial reporting standards such as GAAP or IFRS.
• Budgeting & Forecasting:Developing annual budgets, forecasting future financial needs, and monitoring financial details to ensure compliance with company goals.
• Cash Flow Management:Overseeing daily financial operations, managing cash flow, and ensuring the company has sufficient funds for operating expenses.
• Risk Management:Evaluating financial risks, managing debt/equity ratios, and implementing strategies to minimize potential losses.
• Strategic Planning:Advising management on financial decisions, investment opportunities, and cost-reduction strategies to maximize profitability.
• Compliance & Tax:Ensuring compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and internal policies.
• Team Leadership:Leader of the team, part of the team, motivator of the team and providing training.
• Stakeholder Management:Collaborating with department heads for budgeting

Your profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial management; marine or supply chain industry experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of Dutch accounting principles and tax legislation
• Proven ability to prepare and analyze complex financial reports
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems; excellent and advanced Excel skills
• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English, Chinese pré
• Proactive, hands‑on, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
• Ability to interact with employees at a variety of levels and across functions
• Ability to prioritize and efficiently handle a variety of tasks at once and to meet deadlines
• Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail required
