Job summary

Super Micro Computer Netherlands is expanding its service team in ’s-Hertogenbosch. The Associate Solution Engineer will perform rack and stack, cabling, and hardware installation, providing on-site support for server and network equipment.

The role requires a degree in CS/EE and 1–2 years’ field experience, with Linux/Windows proficiency, and willingness for occasional travel and varied shifts. Strong customer interaction and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical/computer engineering, or related field; equivalent experience or military background also considered.
• 1–2 years of experience supporting and maintaining complex server, storage, and networking environments.
• Deep technical knowledge of GPU platforms, BIOS/UEFI, storage protocols (SAS/iSCSI), Layer 3 switches, routers, and firmware configurations.
• Proven field experience in break/fix support with customer interaction and service delivery.
• Familiar with Windows and Linux operating environments; certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support day to day activities, including physical installation, rack and stack, cabling and networking of data center hardware.
• Assist in the implementation of server, storage and network equipment following established procedures.
• Support the engineering team to ensure hardware is installed correctly according to specifications.
• Coordinate with the engineering team to ensure seamless integration of hardware solutions.
• Assist the team to perform quality checks and test functionality after installation.
• Provide first-line technical support to end users via telephone, email and ticketing system.
• Provide first level of support to incident tickets (per SLA).
• Help process RMA requests when needed.
• Refer complex issues to higher level support teams when necessary.
• Participate in on-site activities, including international travel for installations or problem solving in data centers.
• Flexible to occasionally support work outside regular hours.
