Job summary

Marel is seeking a Field Service Engineer for Control Systems to service and optimize our machines at customer sites across Europe. The role involves installation projects and a blend of hands-on technical work with customer interaction.

You will troubleshoot electrical and control issues on-site, lead local teams on installations, report progress to customers, and work with tension control, vacuum systems, and rebuilt control panels.

Qualifications

• Have a degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Solid knowledge of mechanics with strong affinity for electrical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics and controls.
• Must have EU travel and work documents.
• Willing to travel internationally ~50–60%.

We are currently recruiting a Field Service Engineer Control Systems

• Work arrangement: Hybrid
• Location: NL - Boxmeer
• Time type: Full time

In this role, your primary responsibility is to Service and optimize our machines at our customers’ sites in Europe. You will also be involved in Installation Projects in this region. These highly mechatronic systems combine mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical engineering and controls, making your role a unique blend of hands‑on technical work and customer interaction.

On a daily basis, you will:

• Troubleshoot complex electrical and controls‑related issues on‑site.
• Lead and coordinate local employees in larger installation projects.
• Keep in touch with, and report progress to, the customer.
• Work with tension control, vacumsystems and rebuilt controlpanels

You will be part of a team of experienced engineers who share knowledge and support each other, both on customer sites and from the office.
