Job summary

Servomex is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to service, repair and commission gas analysis systems across the Netherlands and Benelux region. You will travel regularly to customer sites, perform FAT/SAT, and collaborate with engineering, sales and systems teams to ensure top quality service and customer satisfaction.

The role requires hands-on instrumentation expertise, a solid electronics background, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Experience in servicing, repairing and commissioning instrumentation systems.
• Strong background in electronics and instrumentation.
• Fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken).
• Full, clean driving licence is required.
• Willingness to travel across the Netherlands and Benelux region.

Responsibilities

Servomex is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to support customers across the Netherlands and wider Benelux region . In this role, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and commissioning Servomex systems, ensuring reliable performance and a consistently high customer experience.

You will work autonomously at customer sites while collaborating closely with internal engineering, sales, and systems teams to deliver high- quality technical gas analysis solutions.

The successful candidate will have both Dutch and English languages and will have full authorization to work in the Netherlands on a permanent basis.

About The Opportunity

• Service, repair, and commission all Servomex products, ensuring high equipment performance and contributing to the company’s strong reputation through consistently meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
• Carry out Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) on systems.
• Support service quotation activities and actively contribute to identifying and developing service‑related business opportunities.
• Provide technical assistance for sales enquiries and advise customers on the benefits of Servomex service and maintenance contracts.
• Complete all service, repair, and commissioning reports, along with any other required technical or quality documentation, accurately and on time.
• Ensure Servomex equipment complies with relevant health, safety, and local regulatory requirements.
• Communicate effectively with internal departments regarding customer requirements, technical issues, and equipment performance.
• Support the Systems Engineering team with system build and testing activities to ensure systems meet required performance and specification prior to shipment.
• Travel regularly throughout the Netherlands, with flexibility to travel across the wider Benelux region as required.

About Your Talent

• Flexibility and willingness to travel throughout the Netherlands and the wider Benelux region .
• A good working knowledge of Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
• A full, clean driving licence.
• Proven experience working as a Field Service Engineer (or in a closely related role), with hands‑on responsibility for repairing, installing, and troubleshooting instrumentation systems.
• Strong background in electronics and instrumentation.
• Experience delivering customer training at various technical levels.
• Ability to build and maintain strong, professional working relationships with customers.
• Experience working within one or more of the following industries would be advantageous:
  • Oil & Gas
  • Industrial Gases
  • Semiconductor
• Practical experience with start‑up, commissioning, FAT, and SAT activities.
• Ability to interpret maintenance manuals, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Comfortable working independently and remotely, with minimal supervision, and motivated to manage your own workload effectively.
• VCA‑VOL certification already achieved, or willingness to obtain this qualification.
• A technical degree (or equivalent) in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline would be an advantage.

Salary: up to €65,000 base, plus bonus, plus car, plus excellent benefits.
