Job summary

Canon Production Printing in Venlo, NL seeks a Factory Logistics Engineer to optimize internal logistics, support lean operations and ensure on-time material flow to assembly lines using automated warehousing and robotics.

You will partner with R&D, Industrial Engineering, Quality, and Procurement to design the supply chain architecture for inbound, warehousing and assembly, while applying Value Stream Mapping and SAP WM/MM to improve performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or Business Administration.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing organization (SCM/warehouse engineer, industrial engineer, production steering & control).
• Experience with lean manufacturing.
• Experience with optimizing warehouse and factory environment and automated warehousing processes (AMT, AGV, storage and retrieval systems like Vertical Lift Systems).
• Excellent knowledge of SAP regarding WM, MM (ECC and S4HANA).
• Affinity to data management.
• Affinity with digital technologies, IT and AI, and how these developments can contribute to engineering, manufacturing and process improvement.
• Proficiency in English; Dutch language knowledge is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Drive consistent, efficient internal logistic processes and initiate continuous improvements to enable flow.
• Act as the primary escalation point and provide expert support to the team by solving root causes and ensuring supply continuity toward production.
• Own resolution of critical internal supply disruptions, especially related to tools like VLM and AGV, in cross-functional collaboration.
• Initiate and lead interdisciplinary teams to conduct root cause analysis and develop effective solutions for supply continuity.
• Use lean methodologies like Value Stream Mapping to reduce lead times and optimize internal movements based on operational data.
