Job summary

Canon Production Printing in Venlo, the Netherlands, seeks an Industrial Engineer to drive circular economy manufacturing. You will design and optimize processes for remanufacturing, refurbishment, and reverse logistics of electronic components, ensuring yield, traceability, and cost efficiency.

In collaboration with R&D and suppliers, you will embed Design for Disassembly and Circularity, establish KPIs, and ensure ISO/UL/EU compliance while leading Lean and Six Sigma initiatives in a hybrid

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical/Electronical Engineering, or related.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in manufacturing and circularity environments, including hands-on process optimization.
• Strong competence in Lean Manufacturing and 5S implementation.
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification (or equivalent) preferred.
• Proficiency with Power BI for dashboards, yield trends, and KPI reporting.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, circularity-related compliance.
• Strong communication skills to lead cross-functional projects.
• Fluent in English; Dutch and German preferred, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Drive the transformation from linear to circular manufacturing operations.
• Design and optimize end-to-end circular processes for remanufacturing and refurbishment.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives integrating reverse logistics and design-for-disassembly.
• Develop business cases for circularity and ensure quality, sustainability, and cost targets.
• Collaborate with R&D to embed Design for Disassembly and Circularity into products.
