Job summary

BYD Europe BV is seeking a Product Planning Specialist to develop and execute product planning strategies for BYD’s new energy vehicles in Europe. You will conduct market analysis, refine target messaging, and lead go-to-market initiatives.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet customer expectations and regulatory standards, while shaping product positioning and launches across multiple channels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, Automotive, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in product marketing, preferably in automotive or mobility.
• Strong market research and data analysis skills with ability to derive actionable insights.
• Experience in customer segmentation, positioning, and messaging development.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with a strategic and analytical mindset.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a multi-national, cross-functional environment.
• Knowledge of the European automotive market and regulatory landscape is a plus.
• Fluency in English is required; additional European languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth market research to understand competitive landscape, pricing dynamics, and incentive policies in Europe.
• Define and refine ICPs, mapping journeys, pain points, and expectations to craft messaging.
• Gather and translate customer feedback into structured product recommendations for the research team.
• Translate technical features into customer-oriented messaging highlighting benefits and differentiators.
• Collaborate with product management, marketing, PR, sales, and networks teams for unified strategy.
• Develop and execute product launch campaigns across multiple channels.
• Stay informed on industry and regulatory trends to guide data-driven marketing decisions.
