Job summary

BYD is seeking a Customs Compliance Specialist to oversee EU customs compliance for procurement and manufacturing operations across Europe, including Hungary, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK. The role requires a bachelor degree and extensive experience in EU customs law and AEO certification, with English as the working language.

You will lead audits, coordinate with authorities and external consultants, and drive risk mitigation while supporting the company’s zero-emission strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or above in law, business, or related field.
• 5+ years in EU customs compliance or 10+ in customs affairs; Hungarian or EU certificates preferred.
• Ability to use English as the main working language; Hungarian/German native preferred; Chinese a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth progress of customs business and monitor policy implementation.
• Represent BYD with EU customs authorities and associations.
• Lead internal customs management, processes, audits and regulatory compliance.
• Manage customs-related matters and coordinate with external consultants.
• Participate in promotion of qualifications and certifications (e.g. AEO).
