Job summary

Tover is seeking a hands-on Manager Software Engineering in the Netherlands to lead a cross-functional team of seven engineers across systems, web, and QA. You will bridge product strategy and technical execution, fostering growth while guiding architecture decisions in embedded, web, and quality assurance domains.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in engineering leadership role (e.g., Engineering Manager, Technical Team Lead) with cross-functional team management.
• Solid background as Software Engineer/Developer with ability to guide software teams.
• Broad understanding of SDLC across systems software, modern web apps, and QA automation.
• Coaching/servant-leadership style focused on removing roadblocks and clear communication.
• Fluent in English and Dutch (spoken and written).
• Bonus: IoT, hardware/software integration, MedTech, or interactive media/gaming experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct line management for a cross-functional team of 7 engineers.
• Align distinct technical disciplines toward shared sprint goals and product releases.
• Engage in architectural discussions and guide trade-offs.
• Optimize team processes for high-quality code, reliable releases, and scalable architecture.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, UX/UI Designers, and Hardware teams for end-to-end integration.
