Job summary

Fortive's Fluke Europe B.V. in Eindhoven seeks an EMEA VAT Manager to lead VAT compliance across about 30 registrations in 25 subsidiaries, coordinating with Fluke US headquarters finance and the Fortive group.

You will own VAT reporting, drive process improvements, and manage tax automation using Oracle eBTax, iTax from 4Apps, and E‑Invoicing integrations across Europe. The role reports to the Finance Compliance team, includes one direct report, and requires strong communication skills to

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in EU VAT compliance and tax project management.
• Excellent knowledge of VAT across multiple EMEA jurisdictions.
• Proven ability to initiate and drive change projects.
• Ability to identify risks and escalate when needed.
• Fluent in English.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Hands-on with detail and able to move between tactical and strategic issues.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain VAT compliance across EMEA, ensuring timely preparation and submission of VAT returns, EC Sales listings, and Intrastat.
• Review VAT returns and ensure timely completion by the teams involved.
• Reconcile EC Sales Lists, EC Purchase lists and Intrastat Declarations for all registrations.
• Validate internal processes and transactions for proper VAT accounting.
• Maximize efficiencies in operating and reporting systems to reduce VAT liabilities.
• Liaise with tax authorities during audits and ad hoc inquiries.
• Keep up to date with local rules across EMEA and translate impacts on processes.
