Job summary

Unknown company is seeking a Global Account Manager for its data centre division in Amsterdam. You will own the EMEA account strategy for strategic data centre developers and drive significant new business while expanding into gray-space infrastructure.

Responsibilities include coordinating with design, engineering, procurement and supply-chain teams, and managing multiple stakeholders across countries to convert pipeline into revenue. Travel 25–50% across EMEA is required.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in commercial or business development roles within data centre construction or mission‑critical infrastructure.
• Proven record of creating demand and winning opportunities before tender.
• Strong understanding of the construction lifecycle from site to handover.
• Experience managing complex multinational or EMEA‑wide accounts.
• Track record of influencing without authority and delivering through matrix teams.
• Value‑led selling style over product/price focus.
• Background with an infrastructure OEM, contractor, engineering or design consultancy, or similar capital‑intensive business.
• Fluent business English and willingness to travel 25–50% across EMEA.

Responsibilities

• Own the EMEA account strategy for four to five strategic data centre developer accounts, with multiyear plans.
• Drive new business and demand creation (around 60% of the role).
• Map customer development pipelines and procurement models across countries.
• Engage design, engineering, construction, procurement and supply-chain teams to influence specs.
• Expand from white space to gray-space infrastructure solutions (MV/LV power, cooling, etc.).
• Involve SMEs at the right times while keeping commercial ownership of opportunities.
• Collaborate with local and US-based teams to turn strategy into priorities.
• Convert pipeline into defined projects, backlog and revenue.
