Job summary

Iron Mountain is seeking a vision-driven Senior Design Manager or Design Manager to lead architectural and engineering delivery for high-performance data centers across the EMEA region. You will translate complex technical demands into scalable infrastructure, collaborating with cross-functional partners and external consultants to deliver high-quality, safe, and on-budget facilities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in mission-critical design or M&E-led technical industries.
• Strong leadership within multi-disciplinary design teams.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical, mechanical, life safety and control systems for critical facilities and national building codes.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with stakeholder relationship experience.
• University degree in Architecture, Mechanical/Electrical or Building Services Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design for data center projects, coordinating third-party consultants to maintain quality standards.
• Collaborate with internal construction, finance, sales and operations to validate scope, budgets and timelines.
• Support due diligence and feasibility assessments for potential facility acquisitions with external consultants.
• Provide oversight and reporting on design elements, infrastructure and scheduling.
• Assist in procurement of long-lead owner-furnished equipment and support sales engineering.
