Overview

Electrical Project Engineer — Offshore Lifting & Wind-Energy Systems. Are you an electrical engineer who can translate complex specs into safe, reliable lifting machinery at sea? We’re looking for someone to own the full project lifecycle, from schematic to commissioning, of advanced offshore heavy-lift equipment.

What You’ll Do

• Turn functional requirements into detailed electrical/control schematics, cable lists, load calculations and BOMs in EPLAN or AutoCAD Electrical—and keep them current.
• Specify LV/MV switchgear, drives, PLC/SCADA hardware and safety devices in line with IEC, DNV, ATEX and SIL/PL standards.
• Interface with mechanical, hydraulic and software teams to guarantee seamless system integration.
• Track budgets, schedules and change orders; report technical risks and progress to project leadership.
• Guide panel builders and vendors, review documentation, and execute factory acceptance tests.
• Prepare test protocols, supervise yard/quay/offshore commissioning, and drive resolution of punch-list items.
• Deliver complete as-built packages, CE conformity files and user manuals.
• Contribute to tender support, refine design templates, and implement lessons learned.

What You Bring

• BSc/MSc in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation or similar.
• 3–7 years designing power & control systems for cranes, offshore tools, wind-turbine equipment or comparable heavy machinery.
• Proficient in EPLAN or AutoCAD Electrical; comfortable in PLC/SCADA environments (Siemens TIA Portal, Allen-Bradley, etc.).
• Strong command of IEC 60204-1, IEC 60092, ATEX and functional safety (SIL/PL).
• Ability to run load-flow, short-circuit and selectivity studies, and to size motors, drives and protection devices.
• Excellent coordination, supplier management, and communication abilities; willingness to travel (~20% for FAT/commissioning).
• VCA and valid offshore medical & BOSIET are a plus.
• Fluent English; Dutch or German is advantageous.
