Electrical Engineer – Marine Industry – Rotterdam Full-time | Rotterdam Region Would you like to work on innovative electronic systems in a technically challenging environment? Do you have a passion for electronics and PCB design, and enjoy developing new technical solutions? Then this Electrical Engineer position could be a great fit for you. For a technically innovative organization in the Rotterdam area, we are looking for an Electrical Engineer to work on the development and optimization of electronic systems. You will join a small, technically driven team where there is plenty of room for initiative, creativity, and technical depth. Within the department, you will work on a variety of projects involving the development, testing, and improvement of hardware solutions. You will collaborate with colleagues from different technical disciplines to create reliable and future-proof solutions. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be involved in various stages of the development process. Your responsibilities will include electronics development and PCB design, working with microcontrollers, and programming in C/C++. You will also test and optimize developed solutions and actively contribute to technical improvements.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop embedded systems and electronic applications with a strong focus on electronics development and PCB design.
• Design, test, and optimize PCBs and embedded software for innovative applications.
• Analyze and resolve technical issues during the testing and optimization of hardware and embedded systems.
• Work with microcontrollers and C/C++, with the opportunity to apply new technologies and solutions.

Your profile

• A completed Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a similar field, combined with relevant professional experience in electronics development.
• Experience with electronics development and PCB design, preferably using KiCad or a similar PCB design tool.
• Good knowledge of C/C++ and microcontrollers, with experience in Design Patterns.
• Experience working according to Agile/SCRUM principles and the ability to collaborate in a structured way within a technical team.
• You are creative, communicative, solution-oriented, and enjoy contributing to technical solutions.
• Knowledge of VDHL and FPGA is a plus.

What We Offer

• Salary: €4,000 to €6,000 per month based on a 40-hour work week;
• Possibility to work 32, 36, or 40 hours per week;
