Job description

A marine manufacturing company is seeking a Field Service Engineer in Rotterdam. This role is ideal for technically minded professionals with a hands-on approach and a passion for maritime technology.

You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Main Engine Remote Control Systems, as well as related components for remote control and fuel supply systems on commercial vessels.

Base Salary: €3,000-4,000/monthly + Holiday allowance + Up to 4 months bonus + Overtime Payment

Key Responsibilities

• Travel to client sites to perform inspection, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electronic and pneumatic control systems.
• Install and commission propulsion remote control and fuel supply systems.
• Deliver expert technical support to clients, ensuring maximum system uptime and performance.
• Collaborate with internal teams to share product feedback and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Accurately document service activities in accordance with company standards.
• Availability for frequent travel within Europe and occasional international assignments, including weekends.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Degree or technical certification in electronics, mechanics, or a related field.
• Experience: Previous field service or maintenance experience preferred. Basic understanding of electronic and pneumatic systems; ability to read technical schematics. Training will be provided.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
• Competence in using electrical and hand tools.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Language: Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
• Willingness to relocate and work from our Rotterdam office.
• Valid EU work permit or visa allowing work and travel within Europe and internationally.
• Possess a valid EU driver’s license.
