Job summary

Real is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support site operations and engineering projects at their Netherlands manufacturing site. You will act as the electrical SME, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance across electrical systems and utility networks.

Responsibilities include supporting capital investment projects, collaborating with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and external partners, and driving continuous improvement in safety and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of engineering experience in manufacturing/regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge of Dutch electrical standards (NEN 1010, NEN 3140).

About the Role

Our client is a global leader in the healthcare and medical technology industry, operating a large-scale manufacturing and engineering site in the Netherlands. They are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to support both site operations and engineering projects.

In this role, you will serve as the electrical subject matter expert, ensuring the reliability, safety, and compliance of electrical systems while supporting capital investments and continuous improvement initiatives. You will work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, EHS, and external contractors in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the electrical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for manufacturing site operations
• Support the safe and reliable operation of electrical infrastructure and utility systems
• Ensure compliance with applicable Dutch electrical regulations and site standards
• Lead and support CAPEX and facility improvement projects from concept through implementation
• Provide technical expertise for maintenance activities, troubleshooting, and reliability improvements
• Participate in engineering reviews, audits, and risk assessments
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver engineering solutions
• Review and develop technical documentation, specifications, and electrical drawings
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, compliance, and operational performance

Who We're Looking For

You are an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in manufacturing or industrial environments. You combine hands‑on technical expertise with project execution capabilities and have a strong focus on safety, compliance, and operational excellence.

Must-Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 6 years of relevant engineering experience
• Strong knowledge of Dutch electrical standards, including NEN 1010 and NEN 3140
• Experience working in manufacturing, industrial production, pharmaceutical, food, medical device, or other regulated environments
• Proven experience supporting engineering projects and facility improvements
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong commitment to safety and compliance

Preferred

• Experience within GMP-regulated environments
• Experience with utilities, facilities, and maintenance engineering
• Knowledge of reliability and asset management principles
• Experience acting as an SME or technical lead for electrical systems
• Familiarity with EHS programs, audits, and compliance frameworks
• Experience supporting capital investment projects within production environments
