Job summary

Electrical Project Engineer Opportunity - Data Center in Middenmeer, Netherlands

Overview

Hi network! I am currently looking for a Electrical Project Engineer to support the delivery of multiple projects within live operational data center environments. This is a client-side engineering and project delivery role focused on coordinating projects, managing vendors, reviewing and modifying electrical drawings, and ensuring successful implementation of facility changes.

The consultant will act as a project engineer overseeing multiple concurrent initiatives, including control panel modifications, electrical infrastructure changes, load balancing activities, and capacity planning within the facility.

You will work closely with various internal departments and external contractors to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and in line with operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple electrical and infrastructure projects simultaneously within operational data centers.
• Coordinate project activities across different departments and stakeholders.
• Review, update, and modify electrical drawings using AutoCAD.
• Support planning and implementation of electrical infrastructure changes, including control panel modifications.
• Perform load-balancing analysis, capacity planning, and electrical calculations to support project delivery.
• Review Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), electrical drawings, panel schedules, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate and supervise contractors, vendors, and specialist suppliers.
• Ensure project execution complies with safety, quality, and operational requirements.
• Track project progress, risks, actions, and deliverables through completion.
• Conduct site surveys and validate installed conditions against engineering documentation.
• Support testing, commissioning, documentation, and project closeout activities.
• Identify technical issues proactively and drive resolution with relevant stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in project engineering, project management, or electrical infrastructure projects.
• Experience working within data center environments.
• Strong AutoCAD skills with experience reviewing, updating, and modifying electrical drawings.
• Experience interpreting Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), electrical schematics, and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of load balancing, electrical calculations, capacity planning, and facility infrastructure analysis.
• Experience coordinating multiple projects and managing external vendors and contractors.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

Preferred Experience

• Experience delivering projects in live operational environments.
• Exposure to electrical distribution systems, panels, breakers, and facility infrastructure.
• Familiarity with CAPEX, reliability improvement, or infrastructure upgrade projects.
• Experience reviewing technical vendor submissions and project documentation.
• Knowledge of commissioning, testing, and project handover processes.
