Job summary

SIRE LIFE SCIENCES is seeking a Senior Electrical Equipment Engineer to oversee the electrical aspects of production equipment throughout its lifecycle. You will support engineering projects, ensure electrical safety, and provide troubleshooting within a manufacturing setting.

Ideal candidates hold an electrical engineering degree with 7+ years of experience, including 5+ years in manufacturing, and have proven IV experience under NEN 3140. Dutch and English communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven Installation Responsible Person (IV) under NEN 3140.
• Strong knowledge of Dutch electrical safety laws and standards including NEN 3140 and IEC 60204-1.
• Extensive hands-on experience with electrical safety, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management.
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Support and lead modifications and upgrades of existing production equipment and assist with the integration of new machinery.
• Provide expert advice on electrical safety and compliance per Dutch regulations and standards.
• Act as the primary electrical subject-matter expert for the production process, coordinating with vendors and internal teams.
• Perform equipment qualification reviews and manage electrical safety inspections (NEN 3140/NEN-EN-IEC 60204-1).
• Support troubleshooting and emergency repairs on production lines.
• Review electrical modifications and ensure safety, GMP, and quality compliance.
• Manage electrical safety documentation, inspections, and personnel appointments per NEN 3140.
• Assist in developing test protocols, technical evaluations, and assessment reports for electrical systems.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with project teams, maintenance technicians, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure safety and performance of electrical equipment.

• Strong practical knowledge of Dutch electrical safety laws and standards, including NEN 3140 and IEC 60204-1.
• Extensive hands-on experience with electrical safety, troubleshooting, and equipment lifecycle management.
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch (native or proficient) and English.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
