Job summary

Qabird seeks an E2E Performance Engineer to support ESA Earth Observation Programmes in Noordwijk, NL. You will run simulations, verify mission performance, and assist in end-to-end software reviews and in-orbit commissioning activities.

Requirements include a Master’s in Physics/Engineering/CS, 7+ years of experience, strong Linux/CLI skills, C/C++ and Python familiarity, Docker, and excellent English. EU work eligibility is mandatory.

Qualifications

Master’s Degree or equivalent in Physics, Engineering or Computer Science.
7+ years of relevant experience.
Strong Linux command line and SSH experience.
Experience with C/C++ and Python at a code-study level.
Docker technology experience for container management.
Experience with optical instruments (imagers) in simulation and processing.
Excellent English communication skills and EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

Run End-to-End (E2E) performance simulations and verify mission performance.
Operate simulators and related tools in remote Linux environments via CLI.
Review and assist with C/C++/Python software components; participate in project meetings.
Produce and verify test data sets for performance simulators.
Assist in in-orbit commissioning activities.
Analyze data from calibration campaigns and document results.
Identify and report software anomalies to developers.
Install, integrate and configure software in remote Linux servers.
Support Verification Control Boards (VCB) and track verification status.
Contribute to technical reviews with relevant inputs.
