Job summary

ESA’s ESTEC in Noordwijk invites applications for the Lead End‑to‑End Performance Engineer role to ensure coherence and performance of the Alpstar system, spanning space and ground segments and operational elements.

You will oversee interfaces, performance verification, and validation activities, collaborating with engineering, mission analysis, and operations teams, and reporting to the Alpstar Project Manager.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering or related discipline.
• Four years of relevant professional experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree with an additional four years of experience also considered.
• Ability to work in multi‑disciplinary and international environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain end‑to‑end system performance requirements and budgets.
• Coordinate end‑to‑end system performance verification programmes.
• Review interface consistency and maintain requirements databases.
• Analyse performance of space-ground interfaces and support harmonisation.
• Support end‑to‑end mission simulator and ground prototype processor.
• Supervise industrial progress on Alpstar Federated Layer interfaces.
