The Project Department in D/EOP is structured around four main pillars: Science/Earth Explorers, Copernicus, Meteorology and National Projects. The latter currently has only one project (IRIDE), but is expected to grow. The purpose of this Support Service is to support project teams across all aspects of mission performance. Please note, the successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe (or one of its subsidiaries). Furthermore, upon selection, they will be subject to a general security screening performed by an external provider (further information will be provided at the interview stage).

ATG is dedicated to diversity and inclusion and is an equal opportunity employer. Regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, handicap or any other reason protected by relevant state or municipal legislation, we are pleased to consider all eligible candidates for employment.

The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to:

  • Support the systems engineering team performing simulations to assess and evaluate the effects of non-compliance on the mission performance;
  • Operate End-to-End (E2E) simulators, and related software tools in a remote Linux environment using a command line interface to ensure their proper verification and validation;
  • Support the team for reviews of end-to-end mission performance software components developed in C/C++ and Python and actively participate in project meetings;
  • Provide support in the production and verification of test data sets for performance simulators;
  • Support the team in the preparation of the in-orbit commissioning activities;
  • Contribute to the analysis of data collected during on-ground and in-orbit calibration and characterization campaigns;
  • Identify software anomalies and report them to developers for further analysis;
  • Perform software installation, integration, and environment setup in remote Linux servers;
  • Support the system engineering team in the requirements verification process, particularly in the preparation of Verification Control Boards (VCB) including tracking verification status and compliance;
  • Participate in technical reviews and provide relevant inputs.
