Job summary

Karl Lagerfeld is seeking an experienced Accountant in Amsterdam to oversee financial reporting processes for Dutch entities. This pivotal role involves ensuring compliance with Dutch GAAP, managing month-end closes, and delivering insightful financial reports.

The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience in financial reporting, strong communication skills, and a university degree in Finance or Accounting. Opportunities for growth within the company are available.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in financial reporting/accounting, ideally within retail.
• Experience with Dutch statutory reporting and VAT compliance is preferred.
• Strong systems knowledge, including ERP platforms and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of financial reporting and trial balance integrity.
• Ensure balance sheet integrity and robust reconciliations.
• Lead month-end close and reporting processes.
• Deliver high-quality trial balances and reporting packages.
• Coordinate closely with internal and external stakeholders.

Skills

Experience in financial reporting/accounting

Strong communication skills

Fluency in English

Experience with Dutch statutory reporting and VAT compliance

Strong systems knowledge (ERP platforms)

Education
