Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Accountant for our Amsterdam office to manage journal entries, accounts payable, and comprehensive financial reporting for Netherlands entities. The role requires strong GAAP knowledge (Dutch and US), 5+ years of experience, and fluency in Dutch and English.

You will prepare tax returns, support annual financial reporting, and perform intercompany reconciliations in a global organization. Advanced Excel and Oracle experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting/Finance.
• Minimum of five (5) years of accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Dutch GAAP and U.S. GAAP.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
• Proficient in advanced Excel and enterprise systems, preferably Oracle Financial Software.

Responsibilities

• Record journal entries and manage accounts payable.
• Assist in monthly internal and external reporting for all Netherlands entities.
• Review, maintain, and analyze balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Prepare and file Dutch VAT and CIT tax returns and DNB reporting.
• Assist in preparing annual financial reports and supporting schedules.
• Perform intercompany reconciliations and ensure timely clearance.
• Maintain accurate books and records for Netherlands entities, including fundings and capital contributions.
