Job summary

Impactsearch - Finance Recruitment is looking for a Manager Accounting in Den Haag. In this role, you will manage a team of 5 FTEs and be the main point of contact for the SSC. Your responsibilities will include monthly and annual reporting per IFRS and Dutch GAAP, tax reporting, and coordinating audits.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Economics or Finance, management experience, and technical accounting skills. A solid understanding of Dutch tax matters and fluency in English are required, with Dutch being a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage the local Accounting team and serve as the point of contact for the SSC.
• Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting in accordance with IFRS and Dutch GAAP.
• Support tax accounting and reporting in close collaboration with the Tax Manager.
• Coordinate the audit process and prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
• Continuously propose and implement improvements to accounting and IT processes.

Our client is a multinational leader in its field. With a turnover of several billion euros and more than 15,000 employees, the organization is highly successful. The company operates worldwide and has its global headquarters abroad. They are seeking to recruit a Manager Accounting. In this role, you will lead a team of 5 FTE and simultaneously serve as the point of contact for the SSC. In addition, you will maintain regular contact with headquarters and report to the CFO. The ideal candidate has strong, proven technical accounting skills in both (external) reporting and tax reporting. A solid understanding of ERP systems is required. This position requires experience with relevant authorities in the Netherlands (e.g. Tax Authorities) as well as a good understanding of the Dutch language.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Manage the local Accounting team and serve as the point of contact for the SSC
• Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting in accordance with IFRS and Dutch GAAP
• Support tax accounting and reporting in close collaboration with the Tax Manager
• Coordinate the audit process and prepare documentation for internal and external audits
• Continuously propose and implement improvements to accounting and IT processes
• Prepare financial statements for legal entities based in the Netherlands and smaller branches in other countries

Profile

• A degree in Economics and/or Finance; a postgraduate degree in Accounting is a strong plus
• A true team player and “people manager” with demonstrable management experience
• Demonstrable experience in a similar role, preferably in a multinational environment
• Strong technical knowledge (IFRS & Dutch GAAP)
• Knowledge of tax matters (VAT, CIT, PIT)
• Fluent English, a good understanding of Dutch is a strong plus; has the ability to communicate with Dutch authorities/external partners
