Job summary

Donato Ristorante Leidschendam is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Sous Chef to strengthen our kitchen team across two The Hague area locations. You will work closely with the Executive Chef to ensure Italian culinary excellence, high standards of food quality, presentation and kitchen operations.

We value a hands-on mentality, attention to detail and the ability to collaborate with a small, professional team.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen.
• A passion for cooking and a strong eye for detail.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Highly organized with a hands-on mentality.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Flexible and willing to work at both locations.
• Living in or near The Hague or Leidschendam is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and support the kitchen team in all aspects of food preparation and production.
• Ensure consistent food quality, presentation and hygiene standards.
• Assist the Executive Chef with daily kitchen operations.
• Monitor food products and maintain quality standards.
• Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of kitchen areas and equipment.
• Support the training and professional development of kitchen staff.
• Work flexibly across both restaurant locations.
