Job summary

ASML in the Netherlands seeks a Competence Engineer Drive Laser to be the technical authority for the drive laser subsystem. You will solve complex disturbances, drive improvements and ensure safe introduction of new drive laser solutions into production.

You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Development and Field Support to maximise system performance, quality and availability, while maintaining a strong focus on reliability in a high‑tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's HBO degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics, Aerospace Engineering or Automotive Engineering.
• MBO candidates with significant hands-on troubleshooting and qualification experience are encouraged to apply.
• Experience with complex technical systems in high-tech manufacturing, testing, integration or service environments.
• Experience in commissioning, qualification, troubleshooting or performance optimization is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Resolve drive laser disturbances and lead technical problem-solving activities.
• Manage technical escalations and drive structural solutions to prevent repeat issues.
• Qualify drive lasers after module replacements and verify performance against specifications.
• Review technical solutions, action plans and work procedures to ensure quality and manufacturability.
• Assess technical risks and support the introduction of new products, technologies and processes.
• Act as the manufacturing subject matter expert for drive laser-related topics.
• Collaborate with Engineering and other stakeholders to improve system reliability and manufacturing performance.
