Job summary

W Amsterdam is seeking a Doorman with presence to welcome guests in a luxury lifestyle setting. You will own the entrance, assist VIPs, coordinate arrivals and departures, and create an unforgettable first impression.

Fluency in English is required, with a warm, proactive attitude and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in Amsterdam.

Qualifications

• Natural host with a warm, energetic, welcoming personality.
• Experience in hospitality, guest services, or similar role preferred.
• Excellent communication skills in English; professional and presentable.
• Service-oriented, proactive, and able to thrive in a luxury lifestyle setting.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome guests upon arrival in a professional and energetic manner.
• Assist guests with luggage and guide to locations within the hotel.
• Coordinate taxis, transportation, and guest requests.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Concierge, and Security for a seamless guest journey.
• Maintain a safe, clean entrance area and embody the Whatever/Whenever service philosophy.
• Delight guests with a personal touch and exceptional hospitality.

What will you do?

• Warmly, professionally, and energetically welcome guests upon arrival

• Assist guests with their luggage and guide them to the appropriate locations within the hotel

• Coordinate taxis, transportation services, and guest requests

• Collaborate closely with Front Office, Concierge, and Security teams to ensure a seamless guest journey

• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized entrance area

• Bring the W service philosophy, "Whatever/Whenever", to life in every guest interaction

• Delight guests with your personal touch, attention to detail, and exceptional hospitality skills
