Job summary

Equinix seeks a Director, Product Software Architecture and Engineering to build and lead a new dev-ops team for an AI and container management service. You will partner with product management, define requirements and SLOs, and integrate with global systems to deliver self-service capabilities.

The role requires 15+ years in software leadership and open, scalable architectures. You will lead a global engineering and DevOps organization, drive standardization, and ensure enterprise availability

Qualifications

Director-level experience managing managers and delivering multiple software products or services.
Proven leadership of DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE teams in a global setting.
Strong operational experience delivering a highly available enterprise service.

Responsibilities

Define the technical vision, architecture, and roadmap for the AI and Container Management Service.
Translate customer needs into platform capabilities and set SLOs and governance.
Lead Kubernetes/OpenShift based services with emphasis on scalability, security, and throughput.
Drive automation across provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure release, change, and support plans.
