Job summary

Awin is seeking a senior Head of Engineering - Developer Experience & Platform to shape how engineers build, release, and operate software at scale. You will own the end-to-end DevEx strategy, modernise our cloud platform on AWS, and lead teams and tooling to enable a highly productive engineering organisation.

You will drive AI-native development, architect cost-aware cloud solutions, and champion data-driven improvements with leadership across product, security, and operations.

Qualifications

• Significant software engineering experience with hands-on coding in major languages (e.g., Java, TypeScript).
• Proven leadership in developer experience, platform engineering, or related roles in large tech orgs.
• Strong understanding of AI-native software development and modern tooling.
• Experience leading CI/CD practices and developer tooling ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the DevEx programme, defining vision, strategy, and roadmap across the organisation.
• Drive AI-native software development strategies and scale adoption of AI tooling.
• Lead cloud platform standardisation across AWS, including cost management and FinOps practices.
• Build and grow high-performing teams spanning DevEx, platform engineering, and tooling.
• Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to drive change and increase productivity.
