Job summary

Awin Global is seeking a senior engineering leader to define and drive the Developer Experience and Platform strategy. You will own the tooling, AI-native development standards, and cloud platform modernization across AWS, while shaping the engineering culture and governance.

You will lead cross-functional teams to improve productivity, implement budget controls, and deliver scalable, cost-aware solutions. This is a globally distributed, senior leadership role reporting to the Director of

Qualifications

• Significant software engineering background with hands-on coding in key languages.
• Strong understanding of AI-native development, AI tooling, and LLM-based workflows.
• Proven leadership in developer experience, platform engineering, or tooling at scale.
• Deep knowledge of CI/CD, deployment pipelines, and developer tooling ecosystems.
• Experience with AWS, IaC (Terraform), containers, serverless, and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with FinOps, budget planning and cost optimisation at scale.
• Track record delivering organisation-wide change with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience using developer experience metrics (e.g., DORA, DX Core 4) to drive productivity.
• Ability to lead and grow engineering teams across time zones and cultures.

Responsibilities

• Own DevEx strategy, tooling, and budget with a focus on productivity and developer satisfaction.
• Lead AI-native development rollout and agentic workflows across the org.
• Oversee cloud platform standardisation on AWS and modernisation efforts.
• Drive FinOps practices, cost transparency, and budgeting governance.
