EPAM Systems in the Netherlands/Belgium is seeking a Delivery Director – Technology to lead large-scale client engagements across the Benelux region. You will own end-to-end delivery, client relationships and delivery performance for programs exceeding 100 FTE, in a hybrid work setup.

The role requires deep technical depth to challenge architectures, address delivery issues, and engage with senior engineering stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience delivering complex technology projects and managing large-scale engagements (100+ FTE).
• Strong background in managing client relationships across IT services engagements.
• Deep understanding of modern distributed architectures including microservices, APIs and event-driven systems.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end delivery from initiation through the full life cycle ensuring adherence to EPAM processes and client expectations
• Manage client relationships representing delivery at project, program and governance levels
• Identify and address client issues, mitigate engagement risks and ensure successful execution of client responsibilities
• Develop and maintain delivery plans, coordinate preparation of proposals and statements of work
• Oversee multiple activity streams aligned with SDLC and IT service management practices
• Take accountability for all aspects of delivery including financial management, sourcing, implementation and compliance
• Collaborate with distributed teams including product owners, architects, engineers and QA specialists to ensure reliable estimates and effective planning
• Represent the delivery organization in sales and pre-sales engagements contributing to business growth

Job description

We’re looking for a Delivery Director – Technology to join our team in the Netherlands or Belgium in a hybrid working mode. In this role, you will lead large-scale client engagements across the Benelux region ensuring successful delivery of complex technology programs exceeding 100 FTE.
You will be accountable for end-to-end delivery, client relationships and commercial performance while supporting account growth through pre-sales and strategic initiatives. This position requires strong technical depth to challenge architectural designs, diagnose delivery issues and engage credibly with senior engineering stakeholders. Hands-on experience with AI and a clear understanding of its impact on modern software development and maintenance is essential.

Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience delivering complex technology projects and managing large-scale engagements (100+ FTE)
• Strong background in managing client relationships across IT services engagements
• Deep understanding of modern distributed architectures including microservices, APIs and event-driven systems with the ability to assess risks and challenge technical decisions
• Ability to diagnose and resolve delivery issues linked to architecture, integration or data design
• Practical experience with AI and GenAI implementations and understanding of integration dependencies, risk factors and project impact
• Familiarity with programs involving data platforms, advanced analytics or AI components
• Knowledge of AI/GenAI concepts including Machine Learning, Generative AI and Large Language Models with insights into their effect on scope, resources and risk
• Awareness of ethical considerations, bias risks and privacy implications in AI adoption
• Strong expertise in SDLC and Agile delivery methodologies
• Experience handling diverse engagement models such as Time & Materials, Fixed Price and Fixed Terms

Nice to have

• Exposure to managing large digital transformation engagements involving AI-enabled frameworks or automated engineering practices
• Pre-sales and solutioning experience with enterprise clients in the Benelux region
• Multilingual proficiency (Dutch or French)
