Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Data & Power BI Engineer to design and deliver enterprise-grade reporting and analytics within a financial services setting. You will transform raw data into strategic insights, supporting regulatory decision-making.

Join a banking technology team delivering data models, Azure Synapse ELT pipelines, and Power BI dashboards. You will contribute across SSRS and Tableau environments while collaborating with Product Owners and Analysts.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience building data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Synapse pipelines or Databricks.
Experience with Databricks (PySpark) or Azure Synapse (SQL pools, pipelines) in real projects.
Strong expertise in SQL Server / T-SQL and ELT-based data transformation concepts.
Proven track record in enterprise data modelling (Star Schema/Snowflake Schema).
Extensive experience developing Power BI reports, dashboards, DAX calculations, and tabular models/cubes.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Design and develop enterprise data models using Star Schema or Snowflake approaches.
Build and maintain Azure Synapse Analytics-based data solutions including ELT and T-SQL transformations.
Develop rich Power BI reports, dashboards, DAX calculations, and tabular models/cubes.
Collaborate with Product Owners and Business Analysts to translate requirements into scalable data products.
Maintain and support centralized reporting environments including SSRS and Tableau.
