Job summary

ACT Group in Amsterdam is seeking a Senior BI/Data Engineer to modernize and scale our enterprise Data Platform. You will own components, design scalable data pipelines, and develop semantic models to enable trusted Power BI reporting and AI use cases.

You will work with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Databricks and other cloud services, shaping the platform roadmap, enforcing standards, and ensuring performance, security and cost efficiency across data integration, modelling and analytics

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve key components of ACT’s Data Platform architecture.
• Design and implement data integrations for new sources.
• Model relational and dimensional data structures.
• Develop, optimize and operate data pipelines and orchestration.
• Plan data migrations with validation and monitoring.
• Modernize the Data Platform with Fabric and Databricks where relevant.
• Build trusted semantic models for Power BI reporting and AI use cases.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Demonstrate data solutions to stakeholders with clear documentation.
